New Dates On The Calendar
Be sure to check the calendar for more. Be Good Neighbors!
Please be respectful of our neighbors by (a) adhering to the 25 mph speed limit on Moddison Avenue; (b) being careful not to park in front of a neighbor's driveway; and (c) placing all trash in the trash bins. The vast majority of our neighbors are very supportive of the league and we want to continue to be good neighbors toward them
Baseball Families
At the end of your team's game at Caleb or at Ciavarella, please help the coaches of your team pick up the trash in the dugout, in and under the stands, and in the parking lot and make sure it gets to a dumpster. With the number of parents and players associated with each team, it will not take long to clean up after each game.
Also please remember that, when you are working in the snack shack (especially on the weekends), it is not the best place for children under the age of 12 given the workload. To serve everyone one efficiently, particularly on Saturdays and Sundays, we will need to staff the snack shack with adults and older kids who have snack shack experience. There simply is not room for others.
Pitching Rules
Taking into account the growing number of youth baseball arm injuries related to pitching the league has constructed new pitching rules. This applies to the Major and Minor divisions. You can click here to review them or go the Majors and Minors web page.
Composite Bat Rules
The International Board of Directors of Babe Ruth/Cal Ripken League Inc. have lifted the moratorium on composite bats. Click here for a listing of licensed baseball bats approved for use in our league. Click here for more information

Broken Bat Ball
The 2012 Broken Bat Ball was a great success! The drinks, food, prizes, music, and more drinks were all in-effect. RPYB would like to thank everyone attending for all their support. This event brings in much needed funds for our league. We also ask that everyone give special thanks to Mikko Lopez for another year of hard work organizing such a great time.
The RPYB 2012 Season Tournaments
The River Park Baseball division tournaments have started. Click here for more info. You can refer to the division homepages for dates, times, and standings of the tournament games. Hit-A-Thon Packets Due
Sunday, May 6th is the last day that players can turn in Hit-A-Thon donations to be counted toward the team and individual prizes. Remember, the team with the most paid sponsors (1 team in each division) will receive $75 towards their team party. Individually, players will earn gift cards to Sports Authority in denominations based on the funds raised. The Hit-a-Thon envelopes may be turned into the snack shack or you may contact Priscilla Moss @ 952-0245. This is a significant fund-raiser for the league, one that we depend on to meet our budgetary goals and to continue to improve our physical plant and equipment. Thank you for turning in your envelopes early.
