Pitching Rules

1. No curve balls may be thrown at any level.

2. Pitching week: Monday through Sunday.

3. Maximum number of innings each week: 6

4. Maximum number of pitches per game:
Minors: 55

5. Rest
a. 20 Pitches: A pitcher who throws more than 20 pitches must rest a full calendar day before pitching in another game. (Example: Dave throws 21 pitches on Wednesday. He cannot pitch in a game until Friday.)

b. 2-plus innings: A pitcher who pitches more than 2 innings (any six outs whether consecutive or not plus one pitch) must have two full days rest before pitching in another game. (Example: On Tuesday, Alex pitches the first two innings and one pitch in the third inning. Or, Alex comes in as a reliever in the third inning, records two outs, pitches the fourth inning, records one out in the fifth and throws one more pitch. In either case, Alex cannot pitch in another game until Friday.)

6. Pitcher to Catcher Restriction:
A pitcher who throws more than two innings (any six
outs in a game whether consecutive or not plus one more pitch) may not thereafter play catcher in the same game.
