ROOKIES RULES
A. Rookie Division Playing Rules. The following rules shall apply to games played in the rookie division.
(i) Each team shall be permitted to score a maximum of five runs per inning until the sixth inning in which no such limitation shall apply.
(ii) There shall be no "infield fly" rule.
(iii) Ten defensive players are allowed on the field, provided the tenth player is an additional outfielder.
(iv) Any baseball that hits the pitching machine, batted or thrown, shall be a live ball.
(v) In the case of a ball hit in the infield, base runners may not advance beyond the base to which they are running once the ball is in the control of the pitcher. In the case of a ball hit to the outfield, base runners may not advance beyond the base to which they are running once the ball breaks the plane of the infield, unless an outfield player attempts to make a play on the base runner in which case all base runners may advance one additional base in the case of an overthrow. In all circumstances, base runners may not advance beyond the base to which they are running once the ball is in the control of the pitcher.
(vi) No stealing or leading off shall be allowed.
(vii) No bunting shall be allowed.
